Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablos NCIS Spinoff Premieres September 4

Fans of the beloved “NCIS” franchise have reason to celebrate as the highly anticipated spinoff featuring Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo, titled “NCIS: Tony and Ziva,” finally has a premiere date. Paramount+ has confirmed that the series will debut with three episodes on September 4, 2025. Following the premiere, new episodes will be released weekly on Thursdays, with the season finale scheduled to stream on October 23.

In a joint statement, stars and executive producers Weatherly and de Pablo expressed their excitement about returning to their iconic roles after more than a decade. “We’re beyond excited to finally share Tony and Ziva’s next chapter with the incredible fans around the world who never stopped believing this day would come,” they said. “Returning to these roles together on screen has been an unforgettable journey packed with lies, spies, danger, desire … and self-driving murder cars.” They added a playful note: “(Don’t worry, that last one will make sense soon). This is one wild ride you won’t want to miss, and as they say in Paris: Accrochez-vous bien!”

The spinoff will explore the aftermath of Ziva’s presumed death, which led Tony to leave the NCIS team to raise their daughter, Tali. The official synopsis reveals that years later, Ziva is discovered alive, prompting her to embark on one final mission with NCIS before reuniting with Tony and Tali in Paris. However, their reunion is complicated when Tony’s security company is attacked, forcing the couple to go on the run across Europe. As they navigate danger, they must also learn to trust each other again in their pursuit of a happy ending.

In addition to Weatherly and de Pablo, “NCIS: Tony and Ziva” boasts a talented cast that includes Amita Suman, Maximilian Osinski, Lara Rossi, Isla Gie, Nassima Benchicou, Terence Maynard, Julian Ovenden, and James D’Arcy. The series promises to deliver the same thrilling elements that have made “NCIS” a fan favorite since its inception in 2003.

The flagship series follows a dedicated team of special agents from the Naval Criminal Investigative Service as they tackle various crimes, and it has maintained a loyal audience for nearly two decades. Weatherly, who portrayed Tony DiNozzo from seasons 1 to 13, and de Pablo, who joined as Ziva David in season 3 before departing in season 11, have remained fan favorites throughout the show’s run.

The announcement of “NCIS: Tony and Ziva” comes more than a year after Paramount+ revealed the project in February 2024. Weatherly and de Pablo have expressed their gratitude to fans who have supported their characters over the years. “To this day, they say hello in grocery stores and on the street to tell us how much these characters mean to them and ask what Tony and Ziva are up to now. This is for you!” they stated.

As excitement builds for the series premiere, fans are eager to see how Tony and Ziva’s story unfolds in this new chapter. With its mix of action, drama, and heartfelt moments, “NCIS: Tony and Ziva” is poised to captivate audiences and honor the legacy of its predecessors.

Mark your calendars for September 4, 2025, and prepare for a thrilling ride with Tony and Ziva as they navigate the challenges of love, family, and danger in a world where nothing is as it seems.
