News, Kramer clarified that Russell was joking when he expressed discomfort about her taking on roles that involve intimate moments with other actors.

It’s the same thing with his line of work.” She added, “That’s what marriage is — it’s a conversation. It’s not like, ‘No, you cannot do this.’ I don’t think that’s healthy.”
The comments that sparked the discussion were made by Russell, 44, during a December 2024 episode of Kramer’s podcast, “Whine Down.” At that time, he voiced his strong feelings about her potentially filming intimate scenes, saying, “There’s not part of me that will ever, ever, ever allow that, ever, for a man to be that close to you like that [on set].”
When asked if he would make an exception for a show like “Yellowstone,” Russell remained firm in his stance, humorously suggesting he would threaten the producers to change any intimate scenes. He expressed concern over the impact such roles could have on a relationship, stating, “That type of role, it’s not, especially for a man who’s not in the acting world. It’s difficult.”
Despite the initial seriousness of his comments, Russell later returned to the podcast to clarify his position. “If the opportunity is good for your career, then it’s clearly a marital discussion,” he explained. “And listen, if you feel it’s good for your career, then I’m never gonna hold you back from doing something. You know that.”
Kramer and Russell’s relationship has been a topic of interest since they announced their engagement in May 2023, just six months after they began dating. The couple welcomed their first child together, a son named Roman, in November 2023, and they tied the knot in July 2024.
